This weekend was busy for the Jayce’s Space crew, as we set out to congratulate and celebrate 2 very special young men as they completed 8th grade and are moving on to high school ! They have been together under the instruction of an amazing SPED team for the last 3 years, and they are moving upwards and onwards!

JOIN US AS WE CONGRATULATE JAYCE AND LARRY ON A JOB WELL DONE! We are so proud of what they have achieved in their educational journey and we wish them both well as they move into the next big milestone of their lives!

We were not alone in making this celebration happen, so we would love to acknowledge and thank members of our community, community partners, staff, and volunteers ! From the food, snacks, and treats, to certificates of recognition presented, gifts, and all of the love, encouragement, and congratulations… you all showed up for our teens and showed them what having a village looks like in real time! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !

Special shout out to Cara Vercher and the rest of the classroom staff (Ms. Parker, Baylee Richards, Mr. Dillon) for supporting, loving, and educating them through their middle school years! We have no doubt that their growth will continue into high school and part of their success is thanks to the work you all show up and do everyday !

What better way to kick off new beginnings than to celebrate a HUGE milestone?!?

We are hosting an 8th Grade Graduation Celebration for 2 young men in our own community (who will be part of our life skills program this summer)!

They are transitioning to high school, which calls for an exciting, fun-filled day, full of love, support, and fun with friends!

As Autism Acceptance Month comes to a close, my heart is full.

To every person who supported, shared, donated, encouraged, showed up, or simply took the time to learn, I thank you. Truly. You are part of something so much bigger than a single month.

Jayce’s Space was created from a very real place… as a mom, I saw the gaps. I saw how our kids, especially teens, needed more than just services. They needed a space where they are understood, supported, and celebrated for exactly who they are. A space where differences aren’t just accepted, they’re embraced.

That “why” is what fuels everything we do. It’s in every program, every connection, every opportunity we create for our kids and families.

But here’s the thing… Autism Acceptance doesn’t end today.

Our kids still deserve inclusion tomorrow. They still deserve opportunities next week. They still deserve understanding every single day after that.

So as we close out this month, I’m not saying goodbye to the mission, I’m leaning into it even more.

We’re just getting started.

Thank you for believing in Jayce’s Space. Thank you for standing with us. And thank you for helping us create a world where ALL of our kids belong 💙

Parents of teens on the spectrum...

Have you actually asked your teen on the spectrum what they want to be when they grow up… not what’s “realistic,” but what they want?

💭 Try asking:
• What do you love doing for hours?
• Do you like people, tech, animals, or creating?
• What are you really good at?
• What environment feels best for you?

🧠 Their answers might not sound like a “career” yet, and that’s okay. That’s where we help connect the dots.

💡 Tips:
• Follow their interests
• Show real-life examples
• Focus on strengths, not limits
• Let them explore & change their mind

🗣️ What has your teen said they want to be? Drop it below ⬇️
