These sweet babies being fostered at Red Woof Canine got the very first zoomies in their brand new 1.3 acre zoomie field—and wow, did they make the most of it. Watching them run as fast as they possibly could, feeling freedom, joy, and safety all at once… it was truly something special.

Moments like this are why we do what we do. It’s bittersweet—because every dog deserves this kind of happiness—but it also fills our hearts knowing they’re getting to experience it now.

Meet Molly 💗

Professional couch potato.
Part-time cuddle therapist.
Full-time good girl.

Molly is the soft, gentle, squishy-cheeked sweetheart of your dreams. She’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when she’s as physically close to her human as possible. Personal space? Never heard of it.

This girl LOVES her people. Hugs, cuddles, leaning against you, sitting on your feet — if she can touch you, she’s thriving.

Sometimes rescue throws you a curveball you never see coming.

Today we are asking for help for one of our own — Ruby Sue.

Ruby Sue was at her foster home when a complete accident happened. A bottle of ibuprofen had been left on the counter while her foster dad stepped into his home office to work. Ruby Sue has never been known to counter surf or get into things she shouldn’t, so this was the last thing anyone expected.

When he came back out to check on the dogs, Ruby Sue was extremely lethargic and not acting like herself. He rushed her straight to the emergency vet where they discovered she had very toxic levels in her kidneys from the ibuprofen ingestion.

The vet told us she needed to be hospitalized and monitored for around 5 days to try and flush the toxins and support her kidneys.

The estimate for her care is over $1,500, but they also told us there is a good chance she can recover if we act quickly.

Of course, we didn’t hesitate — we told them to do whatever it takes to save her.

The reality of running a sanctuary-based rescue is that many of our dogs are long-term residents, which means we don’t pull large numbers of dogs regularly and emergencies like this can be very difficult financially.

Ruby Sue deserves every chance to recover, and right now she needs our village.

Well Gaia girl has officially been with us for two whole years now… and honestly? She’s a gem. A good girl through and through, a loyal companion, and the perfect blend of sweet with just a dash of sass to keep life interesting.

Gaia came into the rescue with four of the cutest puppies (who would’ve turned two just a few weeks ago 😭), and while her babies all found their happily-ever-afters, Gaia is still waiting for hers. We truly believe her people just haven’t crossed paths with her yet—but when they do, it’s going to be magic.

This girl lives for a good zoom around the yard, immediately followed by a very serious 3–4 hour nap. She’s a foodie at heart, which makes training a breeze (treats = instant motivation). She’s goofy, she’s expressive, and yes… she’s got a little sass sprinkled in for personality.

Gaia loves her fellow dog friends but is a no-cats kinda gal, and she’d absolutely thrive in a home with one or two adults where she can soak up all the love. She’s not a big fan of sharing the spotlight—but honestly, with eyes as beautiful as hers, she deserves every bit of it. ✨

She’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily, steal your snacks if you’re not careful, and curl up beside you like she’s always belonged there. Loyal, loving, and patiently waiting… Gaia is ready when you are.

One year of Ellie!
One year of a million nicknames — Ellie Belly, Ellie the Elephant, Ellie Girl, Girl Dog, and our all-time favorite… Baby Gazelle.
And yes… one whole year of Ellie still waiting for her forever home.

Naturally, you’re probably wondering, “HOW is this dog not adopted yet?”
Same. We ask ourselves that daily.

Because let’s be honest — Ellie is basically a walking green flag. She’s great with dogs, cats, and humans of all shapes and sizes. Ellie is so friendly she’d probably wave at a squirrel and ask if it wants to be besties.

Ellie loves to run, so she’d thrive with a decent-sized yard or an active human who enjoys movement (or at least throwing a ball). She absolutely shines with other dogs and is happiest when she’s part of a pack. At her foster home, she runs off-leash with the group during lunchtime ball time — living her best main-character life. She has excellent recall, knows basic commands (with a little room for polishing), and is always ready for the next adventure.

She’ll happily go on a run around the neighborhood… then come inside, chug roughly 17 gallons of water, and immediately transform into a calm, well-behaved house dog.

Now let’s talk about that Baby Gazelle nickname.
Ellie leaps over the tiniest stick like it’s a fallen tree in the Amazon. Graceful. Majestic. Slightly dramatic.

She’s got a smile that can light up a room, ears that can cure a bad day, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting. Basically, Ellie is fun.
