Oh what a night!

A great time was had by all at Tuesday night's RGV Magic Club "magic and mingle meet up"!

It was great to see and catch up with those who were able to attend! It has been a long time since we had met up and a lot of us had seen each other!

We had Pizza and Wings, shared stories, laughed and some of us shared a little magic with each other. We could have stayed talking with each other long because the time flew by so fast! We even talked a little magical theory and technique.

It felt great see each other again so it was clear that we may do this again informally just keep the brotherly aspects of our magic and keep magic alive in our lives. We are a brotherhood. No matter how life moves us about we have the "world of magic" we love that connects too.

Stay tuned for a date when we meet up at the ends of August 2022 to do this again. It you missed this one and you want to join us at the next magic and mingle we'd love to see you and catch up!

Itā€™s been a long time since we met up so by multiple requests we are scheduling a meet up time to catch, break bread & share a little magic šŸŖ„ .

The location will be determined by number of people who confirm. It will be somewhere casual so we can hang out, talk & for those who want to eat they can go ā€œDutchā€.

Hi Guys; it's been a long time since we all got together to share magic ideas and camaraderie. Here is your chance. Doug Krueger, visiting from Arkansas, has graciously invited all of us to his home for an evening of fun, magic and treats.

But we need to know who is able to attends so we can make proper arrangements. So PLEASE respond to this e-mail now, or within a day so we can get a head-count.

Another friend to Magic leaves us. Friend and fellow dealer, Paul Diamond has passed away. I first met Paul and Andi back in 1972 at a TAOM convention. As I walked passed his booth, looking at all the wonderful 'toys' he was known for, a bellowing voice came from his direction.."If you're gonna buy, buy somethin', otherwise get the hell out"! That was my first encounter, one of many. He scared my wife who was attending her first convention.

Paul turned out to be a real pussy-cat; Mr. Humble as he liked to be called, was really a great guy. You just had to get used to his unusual personality. Andi on the other-hand was a real lady. We all wondered how he managed to talk her into being his partner, but it worked.

Paul and I discussed Magic on many occasions, the art, the business and manufacturing side and so much more. Paul talked about his days with Revlon, and how he would get 5 figures for performing 'kid's stuff'. He loved to perform and he loved Magic.

Carol and I are saddened by his passing. magic has lost another of its REAL characters. They just don't make them like Paul Diamond...A REAL diamond in the rough. Love you and misss you Paul.

Greetings all RGV Magic Club members and visitors,

We will be holding this years last monthly meeting this Monday November 21st, 2016 at 7:00p.m at the McAllen Creative Incubator located at 601 N. Main St. McAllen, Tx 78501 (The old McAllen Library on Main). We will be on the 2nd floor.

Theme: Holiday Magic.. If you can modify your presentation to incorporate the Holiday season, that would be great but if not, no problem. We'd like to see what you have so plan on performing an effect for our meeting.

Teach-in: This is for everyone: We are asking that each of you find an effect that can be performed with everyday objects that you can find at home, etc. (Try to be more original than a card trick šŸ˜‹). Think paper, cups, ribbons, knives, you get the idea.

Also, if you are planning on attending the Christmas Dinner, 10th. of December Time: 6pm at Mr. & Mrs. Robinsonā€™s residence this is your chance to buy your ticket(s); $8.00 per person. Since space is limited, we ask that you not bring guests, this is for member plus one.

See you are the meeting. We expect to share lots of Magic and fun.

We look forward to seeing as many of our magic club members at our November 2016 meeting.

If you have a friend who is interested in learning magic bring them along. The magic club is for all levels of interests, magical knowledge and abilities.
