We live here because we believe this is the community we dream of. A safe and well community. First responders have a significant role in our dream, in our community. The Pfoundation was established by interested community members who believe in that dream, want to build on the strengths of the community and support the first responders who serve the citizens. Safety Tips for Heating Your Home
-- Children should not have access to portable heaters, electric or fuel powered.
-- Do not burn anything larger than candles inside your home without providing good ventilation.
-- All heaters than run on fuel should be vented.
--Space heaters need their SPACE!

-- When something is spilled, clean it up immediately.
-- Stay off freshly mopped floors, and use proper warning signs for wet floors.
--Secure electrical and phone cords out of areas of traffic.

-- When developing your escape plan, always have two methods of exiting each room.

-- Test all smoke alarms once a month, and change the batteries every 6 months to a year.
-- Replace all smoke alarms after 10 years of use.

The 2017 Public service Scholarship recipients were presented at the August 10th Board of Commissioners Meeting. The two recipients were Ashley Prado and Amy Spalik.

Ashley graduated from Hendrickson HS and she plans on pursuing a degree in Primary Education. She has taken countless classes, has taken part in school clubs, community service activities, and has obtained high leadership positions to prepare her for her future profession to obtain a bachelor degree in Primary Education and make a difference in a child’s life.

Amy graduated from Pflugerville HS and she plans on pursuing a degree in Education. She plans on going to Austin Community College then transferring to the University of Houston at Victoria and obtaining her Bachelor degree in Education along with her certification in Math 4-8 grade. She plans on finding a job in Pflugerville or Round Rock School District.
