This Memorial Day weekend, Scouts from Troop 685 were honored to join Scouting America units from across the area alongside the amazing Scouts of Troop 8787 and local Girl Scouts troops at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery to place more than 5,000 American flags in honor of our veterans ahead of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

It was an incredible morning of service, remembrance, and respect for those who gave so much for our country. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help make this tradition possible. Capitol Area Council

Our Scouts are proud to serve the community through our annual flag fundraiser — and we’re now accepting 2026 orders!
For just a small annual donation ($50/yr), our Scouts will place a beautiful American flag in your yard on five patriotic holidays throughout the year. All proceeds support Troop activities, camping, and leadership development.

From driving to campouts and meetings, sewing patches, helping with merit badges, and cheering from the sidelines, your love and encouragement help our Scouts grow into leaders of character.

We are incredibly proud of these Arrow of Light Scouts as they officially cross over into Scouts BSA and begin their next adventure with us!
