Heads up, neighbors!🚧
A portion of the Gilleland Creek Trail (Myrtle Pfluger Trail section) will temporarily close starting Tuesday, February 17 to support construction tied to the Downtown East connection project.
This closure is expected to last approximately one year and will help make way for improvements that support pfuture connectivity to Downtown East and the Monarch Recreation Center. These improvements will expand recreation opportunities and enhance long-term trail access for our community.
Trail signage will be posted along the corridor to help guide visitors and provide reminders of the closure. During construction, we encourage trail users to plan ahead. The detour will add approximately 1,056 feet (0.2 miles) to your route.
