To the participants and friends of the Bravado Challenge,
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing challenges associated with COVID-19 and our need for permits, licensing, and insurance, we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the race for 2021. We tried every avenue possible, but we were ultimately not able to get specific permits in place that were critical. And even though vaccinations are becoming readily available and the DNR might start to lift restrictions, it takes us about 5 solid months to pull this race off and we are simply out of time.
This next part is harder to say...the founder of this race, Tim Held took this thing to an amazing place and had a great 12 year run. Back in 2012, when Mike and I saw he was retiring the race, we knew we had to keep it going. We have had a great 8 years but now it is time for Mike and I to pass the torch. We would like to find a small team of dedicated folks that would be willing to take over the Bravado Challenge. We would consult and hand over our project plans, documentation, and some of the equipment. If anyone is interested please reach out. Our motivation for doing this has always been to support the Birth to Three charity and we would love to see that continue for many more years to come.
Thank you to all our amazing participants and volunteers over the years. We have so many fond memories of race day and we are hoping to be participants again someday. :)
Lastly, we would still like to raise some $ for Birth to Three and you may see some more information on that soon.
