The Wakesha County 2026 Passport & Museum Map, that is.
You can pick up your “passport” at any of the museums listed.
Follow the map and get your “passports” stamped at each museum.
Lots of fun (and education) for the whole family. Great way to celebrate Pewaukee’s 150th anniversary. There is a lot of detailed information here to begin your journey, so copy the information, read it over, and let’s get started.

YES! We are open from 1 to 3 this afternoon.
The Pewaukee Area Historical Society is open for the season. Our hours have changed from last year so be sure to check the hours and dates posted here.
You can always call for an appointment 262 691 0233.
Also, volunteers work at the Clark House Museum every Wednesday afternoon 1 to 4.

ATTENTION all hungry, PAHS, supporters.
The Chocolate Factory in Pewaukee (161 W. Wisconsin Ave.) is holding a fundraiser event for the Pewaukee Area Historic Society.
The event will take place on Tuesday, February 24, from 4 - 8 pm.

Ice delivery coming through! 🧊

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, ice harvesting was a highly lucrative industry in Wisconsin. Ice was vital to brewing companies for the production of lager beer and became a necessary product for those with iceboxes, like the Pabsts. The Wisconsin Lakes & Cartage Co. was a prominent ice harvesting and shipping company that primarily sourced its ice from Pewaukee Lake in Waukesha County. After harvesting, ice was covered in sawdust to prevent excess melting and delivered to customers via horse cart by an iceman as shown here.

Pewaukee's tree lighting, Saturday Dec 6th (tomorrow) at the Clark House museum. Time - 2 to 5pm. Fun for the whole family. Santa's gift shop, cookies and hot chocolate provided by the Pewaukee Kiwanis Club, kids holiday craft, the Civic Broadway Singers from 4 to 5., tree provided by the North Shore Bank, and YOU KNOW WHO IS GOING TO BE THERE for the kids and all of us. See you there.
