Surf the Earth MHC

Surf the Earth MHC Surf the Earth aims to foster a world where mental health is talked about and embraced. A website with more information is currently being created.

Surf the Earth MHC is a nonprofit organization and mental health community platform established in memory of Alyssa (Ali) Rose Patrick. This platform is committed to raising awareness about mental illnesses, specifically focusing on Bipolar disorder. Our mission is to offer support, resources, and an empathetic space for individuals and their families. We aim to promote understanding, dismantle st

igma, and cultivate a world where mental health is recognized and embraced. Ali was a luminary—her radiant and compassionate soul was full of life and deeply valued friendships. Her caring nature made her an embodiment of love and light in this world. Heartbreakingly, at just 24 years old, she left us too soon, choosing to end her life in the wake of a sudden and unanticipated mental illness. Ali's inherent generosity was evident when she founded Surf the Earth before her untimely departure. She envisioned it as a platform for her ski community and her friends who shared her passion for outdoor sports, intending to create an open and free space for communication. Today was a day we will never forget. 💛 The Community Kindness Garden is officially open — and we are so full of gratitude.

We are deeply honored to dedicate this garden in loving memory of Ali Patrick. Her kindness lives here. In every rock. In every message. In every person who stops, reads, and feels a little less alone. Her kindness will ripple on. 🌊

A heartfelt thank you to the Boyne District Library for providing such a beautiful and sacred space for this garden to call home. And to every community partner and donor who helped make this possible and all our volunteers— we could not have done this without you. This is what community looks like. 💛

Thank you to the Boyne Area Chamber for celebrating this moment with us and for sharing it with the community. It means the world.

This garden belongs to all of you. Come find your rock. Leave one behind. Plant kindness and watch it grow. 🌱

“One message at just the right moment can change someone’s entire day, outlook or life.” — Megan Murphy, The Kindness Rocks Project
