BODY By VSU BODY (Behaviorally Overcoming Diseases in You) was created to provide education to the young African American community about HIV/AIDS and substance abuse.

B.O.D.Y. (Behaviorally Overcoming Diseases in You) was created to provide education to the African American community about risky behaviors that can lead to STIs and HIV/ AIDS. The B.O.D.Y. Intervention program allows for implementation of a holistic approach to HIV/AIDS and substance abuse prevention services that include education, awareness, testing, prevention marketing, and evidence based int

erventions. The target audience is African American females and males ages 18-29 years old. program originated at Virginia State University in 2013 and is supported and funded by SAMSHA (LINK) (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).
