At the conclusion of our August chapter meeting, brothers of the Alpha Kappa Sigma Chapter took the time to award our scholarship recipients, who are on their way to continue their education after successfully completing high school! 📚 This year we awarded the following three scholarships totaling $3,000:

We are sending our condolences to the family of our beloved Bro. Lajuane A. Trusty, Spring 2016 initiate of the Alpha Kappa Sigma Chapter. Bro. Trusty was a loving father and truly exemplified the ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.

Bro. Trusty was a standout brother in the AKS Chapter receiving the awards of Unsung Hero and Sigma Brother of the Year in 2018 and also held the positions of Director of Education, Director of Social Action, Membership Intake Chairman of our Fall 2022 Line, and 1st Vice President.

In 2023, Bro. Trusty went on to become a charter member for the Upsilon Chi Sigma chapter in Chesterfield where he continued his dedication to Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
