The Rose Run 5k Run/Walk & Kids' 1k Fun run benefiting breast cancer research in the name of Rose Marie Hunt. Part Join us as we turn a small town into a big event!

The Rose Run is a 5k run/walk and 1k kids' fun run that raises money for charity in the name of Rose Marie Hunt, a Petersburg, MIchigan native who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2009. We've raised over $60,000 for the local fire department as well as breast cancer research. Money has gone to The University of Michigan Cancer Care Center and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Great news for southeastern, Michigan, and Northwest Ohio… A free running club!

2026 Rose Run overall male winner, Dillan Haviland, is starting a running club for everyone of all levels. All are welcome.

You can join Dillan tomorrow evening at Summerfield high school at 6 PM.

Dillan is an NCAA All-American Runner, who has recently located to Petersburg… and he’s excited to bring his talents to the community.

Our Rose Run family has a large open wound heading into this morning's run. Some of our steps are very heavy.

Our community tragically lost Conor Harrigan at the age of 16 on June 26th and one of his favorite days was today...The Rose Run and Community Day.

This could be a hard day for most of us.

So, today, we want to encourage you to let everything you do, honor Conor.

Let's be grateful for another day to be together.
Let's greet each other this morning lovingly and encouragingly.
Let's dedicate every step to him, run with a smile because he always did.
Let's hug a stranger, cry, celebrate and feel the sun on our faces.
In gratitude.

Today, we because someone who loved this race very much can't be here with us...so do it for him.
Every mile. Every step.
