Make the short drive to Lewisburg this week to get signed up!

We are continuing to register families for Hop To It, our Easter Saturday (April 19) event in which we give away free Easter baskets, candy-filled eggs, and toys while also providing kids’ crafts, an Easter lesson for your children, and LIVE BUNNIES for your children to pet and play with!

*Registration is open to ANY custodial parents or guardians of age 1-12 children.*

We’ll be signing up families on the days and at the times below, so please come to see us this week. This Saturday, April 12, is the deadline!

The HOP stands in silence after this morning’s moving project left it mostly an empty metal shell. As you know, we are vacating the building because of its forthcoming sale. May the Lord bless the next use of this space to bring Him glory and serve the Petersburg community well.

Registration for our annual Easter weekend Hop To It event begins this Saturday! OPEN TO ALL FAMILIES OF AGE 1-12 CHILDREN.

Take a look at these fabulous and free Easter baskets from our Hop To It event a couple of years ago! Bright and beautiful, right?

Well, we’re doing Hop To It again this year, and you’ll be able to find equally bright and beautiful baskets this year also! Plus…colorful grass, eggs filled with candy, toys, a craft and story time, and LIVE BUNNIES for your kids to play with! ALL FREE OF CHARGE.

Hop To It is scheduled for Saturday, April 19 from 10 am-12 pm. Registration will be held from this coming Saturday, April 5 to next Saturday, April 12.

***In-person registration is required and will be available to ALL custodial parents and guardians of age 1-12 children (regardless of where they live). No registrations will be accepted after April 12.***

Check out this fun giveaway event at our Lewisburg site! Please make the drive over and get registered if you have age 1-12 children!

***SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.*** Registration for our annual Easter weekend Hop To It event on April 19 begins this coming Saturday, April 5, between 10 am-2 pm. Hop To It is our make-your-own-Easter-basket giveaway in which parents choose an Easter basket, grass, candy-filled eggs, and toys for each of their age 1-12 children. We also will have LIVE BUNNIES on site for children to pet and play with, in addition to an interactive learning station in which children will have fun while learning more about the resurrection story at the heart of Easter. And you can count on some delicious snacks for you to enjoy also!

Registration begins this Saturday, April 5 and will continue through Saturday, April 12. 402 2nd Avenue North, in Lewisburg. *Registration MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON and is open to all custodial parents or guardians of age 1-12 children.*

The Hop To It event itself will be at the same site from 10 am-12 pm on Saturday, April 19...Easter Saturday!

We said Aloha in Petersburg tonight and were blessed to have more than 100 people join us to receive clothing, big bags of food, furniture, hot dog dinners, and more. Thank you, Lord!

Tonight was our last public event at the HOP, but be looking for info about other activities and events that we’ll put on in other places in Petersburg and Lincoln County.

Tonight is our Aloha giveaway event at the HOP! 5-7 pm, Friday, March 28. We have lots of clothing for adults and children, bags of food, assorted household items and toys, and we also will be providing hot dog dinners to everyone who attends!

ALL FREE TO ANYONE FROM ANYWHERE.

Join us as we say goodbye to this building—the owner is selling it—and hello to the next chapter in our work in Petersburg and the rest of Lincoln County.

Here is a sneak peek at the fantastic items we are giving away at tomorrow night’s Aloha event at the HOP. As our building is being sold, we are closing out all our inventory in Petersburg. It all has to go! FREE TO ANYONE FROM ANYWHERE! Come and get it!

This coming Friday night, March 28, we will be saying goodbye to the facility we've called home over the past year. We'll also be saying hello to a new chapter of our work in Petersburg though, so we're having an Aloha celebration--Aloha being a word Hawaiians use to express the deep love and kindness involved in both hello and goodbye--to mark the time. We'll be giving away food, hygiene items, clothing, household items, everything. It's a closeout giveaway, and it's open to anyone from anywhere!

Aloha is this coming Friday, March 28, from 5-7 pm at the HOP. 3269 Lewisburg Highway, in Petersburg. Hope to see you then!

A neighbor called to tell them about the flood waters that were rapidly approaching their front porch. When they opened the door to check it out, those turgid waters instantly inundated their house. Electrical outlets ended up grounding out, sparking small fires. Urgent evacuation was critical.

The family escaped unharmed, but the house is now uninhabitable.

That would be unfortunate for any family, but for this family of four generations—anchored by a great-grandfather who already has lost a leg and is in danger of losing the other one also—it's well beyond unfortunate.

It's a nightmare.

If you are led to assist this family—a family who has been immensely grateful for the assistance they've received in the last 18 hours or so—you can make donations to First Baptist Church of Petersburg or to us at HOPEtown at hopetownlewisburg.org. A huge HOPEtown thanks to First Baptist Church of Petersburg for their having our director preach and share about our ministry at their morning service today. Thanks to First Baptist also for their swift and sincere response to the flooding that (1) damaged houses in and (2) displaced residents from their historic community.

Stay tuned to this page in the days and weeks to come for more information on how we are partnering with First Baptist to provide assistance in this crisis and in others to come.

July 3 in Lewisburg! It’s our 4th annual Freedom Fest!

***AN IMPORTANT REMINDER.*** Freedom Fest will return to Rock Creek Park in Lewisburg on July 3! As always, a stirring time of worship will be the core of the event. Music, prayer, and the preaching of the Word!

We will have a fantastic lineup of food trucks serving up delicious food too!

We’re also featuring the return of Firecracker Alley, our special area for children featuring interactive games, inflatable bouncy houses, face painters, FREE cotton candy, and more!

A new addition to the lineup this year is a HOT DOG EATING CONTEST! How fun will that be?!

And, of course..FIREWORKS! In fact, this will be our biggest and best show yet!

Be sure to save the date! Thursday, July 3, beginning at 5 pm at Rock Creek Park.
