Day 3 is starting! Hollis got up early and made biscuits, eggs, and bacon for everyone. We are all a little sunburned, but we are all also having a really great time!

Hey, everyone! We made it safely, but the leaders have no cell phone signal where we’re staying. We will make trips to the office to use WiFi to check our notifications throughout the day. We will try to find a solution to your kiddos calling you in the evenings!

Hey, everyone! Due to STARR testing, illness, and so many other things going on for all of our kiddos right now, we have decided to cancel children’s and youth Wednesday night activities for this week. We will start back up next week, and we are so excited to see y’all then! The adults will still meet at 6pm for the prayer meeting in the sanctuary.

Hey everyone! Our youth leadership team will be having a bake sale tomorrow morning from 9am-12pm in front of Porter Drug. Y’all won’t want to miss this! They’re raising money for their upcoming mission trip to Arlington, TX in June. Come on out to show your support and get some sweet treats to eat!

Camp update day 1!
We made it safely! Everything is great, but oh my gosh it is hot! And humid. I think our sweat is sweating. Today during worship, we talked about the importance of rest; not just physical rest (that is important too!), but fully resting in Jesus when our spirit is weary. We discussed the difference between being physically tired and spiritually weary and how to turn to Jesus with both. Our prayer for this week is that our students will be able to take a break from their stresses in life and rest in Him as they encounter Jesus in a really powerful way. There’s just something special about camp; it gets these students out of their everyday lives and just surrounds them with Jesus. Please join me in praying for softened hearts, open minds, and surrendered lives.

If you missed Rooted yesterday, come tonight at 6 (junior high) and 7 (high school) for youth!! We are excited to play a game, eat snacks, and hear about the mission trip our leadership teams just took!
