The PTJFA is looking to honor two graduating 2025 Peters Township Class students with a scholarship. The awarded scholarships will be for $1,000 each. The PTJFA supports the Peters Township Park and Recreation Department's statement of their Philosophy and Goals for Youth Sports Programs, Youth Exemplifying Sportsmanship Initiative, and Sportsmanship Pledge and Guidelines for Enforcement of the Sportsmanship Pledge. The PTJFA entirely agrees that the purpose of our program is to encourage and develop in children a love for football in a safe and positive environment while teaching skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Criteria:
▪ Graduating from Peters Township in 2025
▪ Played in a Peters Township youth football program
▪ Requirement of played football - at least 1 year football
▪ Continuing education to any post-secondary learning programs
▪ Consideration for academic achievement GPA: 3.0
▪ Consideration for leadership roles and community involvement
▪ One-page essay answering the following: How has football impacted your life, and how will you use the experience to influence others?
▪ Letter of recommendation - teacher/employer/member of the community that can
attest to why this student deserves the scholarship
