Supporting Young Women
This is The Pad Plan. Did you know that there are young women whose families don’t have the money to afford women’s sanitary products? Often these girls are unable to go to school as they don’t have what they need to attend school during their period. If you have ever gotten your period and been somewhere without a pad or tampon, you can imagine how hard it would be if this were a constant issue. I am reaching out to ask people to pick up extra sanitary products at the store or collect them from other people you know who could pitch in. It would greatly help those who are unable to purchase their own sanitary products. Depending on how many sanitary products are donated, hopefully we will be able to distribute them to women’s shelters, food pantries, and my mom’s program for low income youth at risk. Also, boys don’t be afraid to contribute, anything you feel comfortable donating helps and please get the women in your life involved as well.
