Healthy Petaluma’s HeartSafe Community program was featured at the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD) Annual Meeting in Monterey last week!
Our HeartSafe Community Program Manager, Tami Bender, presented “Empowered and Equipped: A Healthcare District’s Model Supporting Bystander Cardiac Emergency Readiness,” sharing how Healthy Petaluma is helping communities prepare for sudden cardiac emergencies.
From CPR training and strategically placed AEDs to partnerships with schools, businesses, and emergency responders, our HeartSafe Community program works to ensure more people have the knowledge, equipment, and confidence to act when every second counts.
We’re proud of Tami and the work she leads, and grateful for the opportunity to share our approach with healthcare districts from across California.
Thank you to ACHD for bringing districts together to learn from one another and strengthen community health throughout the state!
