According to BBB's latest scam study, employment scam reports exploded over the last year—doubling the previous year's numbers.

What's going on: Over the last three years, nearly 50,000 people sent in BBB Scam Tracker reports after falling victim to an employment scam. Job hunters report being targeted by a sophisticated new tactic called "Task-based" scams, in which fraudsters lure applicants by impersonating well-known global brands and offer high pay for simple online tasks like "liking" and "subscribing" to videos.
