April 3rd would have been Betty’s and my 32nd wedding anniversary. We were married on the Big Island of Hawai’i on a cliff overlooking the majestic black sand beaches. There were 50 people present and the energy was so high, we were all flying. It was our second ceremony of the day because the minister we brought, with us, the magnificent Rio Olesky, didn’t have a Hawaiian license and so we got married legally by a different minister that morning in Hilo.

I guess Betty and I were nervous about getting married because she would call it off one day, I would call it off the next, and Jacky, Betty’s amazing right-hand woman, totally fed up with us, would call it off the third.

Betty was hoping for 25 year+ additional years, but left us just 10 years later. However, those 10 years being married to her were filled with excitement, adventure, travel and love. Betty brought enlightenment, humor, and joy to audiences all over the world. Her gifts were and are eternally cherished. As for me, I wrote a book for parents of drug and alcohol-addicted children (Don’t Let your Kids Kill You) that book, along with Betty’s great classic book on dreams (The Dream Book: Symbols for Self-understanding) are two sources of inspiration for people everywhere.

REMOVING THE STUMBLING BLOCKS IN YOUR LIFE

Betty Bethards never told people what to do. She just listened to her guides and then said what she heard from them. It's up to us to solve our problems. Betty was a teacher, psychic/mystic, spiritual healer, and author. She was referred to as a common-sense guru.

She taught three things when she was alive:
1. Meditate 20 minutes per day
2. Pray and use affirmations and visualizations to get what you want
3. Pay attention to your dreams and interpret them properly

If you feel like you are frozen or stuck in your life, try asking yourself the following questions. The following are questions that you can ask yourself regarding your life. Use these to spark your thought processes and get you thinking about what could be blocking you from your goals:

1) What are the areas where you feel limited?

2) What are the areas in your life where you would like to expand and grow?

3) When you were growing up what were your parents' (or role models) ideas about money and abundance?

4) Which of these patterns (from question #3) do you see yourself repeating and need to release?

5) What do you consider to be your most positive behaviors that contribute to success?

6) Create your ideal day – imagine you have everything in your life you want. Describe it in clear detail listing everything you desire: your dress, attitudes, work, friends, environment, home, etc.

REMEMBER: Ask and it shall be given to you: seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. What that means is if you don't ask, you won't get - Matthew 7:7,9. Ask for what you want!!!!

If you want to grow, you need to remove areas that block your growth. The additional list of questions below may seem short and/or simple but they are there for you to start the thinking process to remove your inner blocks in order to clear a path to grow and ultimately love your life.

1) List two recent occasions or experiences where you asked for help and definitely felt you were receiving guidance in your life.

2) What ways do you usually receive insights? For example, from dreams, through intuition, visualizations, from other people, when you are daydreaming, etc.

3) What do you find is your major stumbling block for maintaining a daily awareness of your spiritual growth?

4) List two situations in your life now where you could use some help to change.

FORGIVING OURSELVES AND OTHERS

Practicing forgiveness on ourselves and others is an ongoing process in our self-growth. We need to continually look for our part in each experience or interaction with others and take responsibility for how we set it up.

Healthy forgiveness is stopping the recycling of our hurts and wounds, and creating healing and unity in all of our relationships. We are not separate from one another, and by forgiving the people we have hurt and interact with, we will reunite our energy and connect to the God force.

Practicing forgiveness is an ongoing process in our self-growth.

Since we have all reincarnated, all people have hurt others, hated and acted violently in one incarnation or another. No one is free from the pangs of growth on this Earth plane. Thus, as we learn to see ourselves as part of the whole human family, we will feel the struggles, the joys and the frustrations of all people. When we truly learn to accept the responsibility of our own thoughts, words, and deeds (actions), we will then be filled with compassion and love for all people.

The new and revamped Betty Bethards Inner Light Foundation website HAS BEEN LAUNCHED!! https://innerlight.org. The website has taken over two years to pull together and complete. We have dug into the many boxes of content left by Betty and her team to get the content for the website. Some of the content was presented at conferences, or in her books and some has never been seen before. It's taken months and months of work to find photos, create the website and to pull all of the information together. Our motivation has been that we didn't want what Betty taught to be lost - we wanted it preserved for the world. And boy, does the world need Betty's teachings more than ever!

I wanted to remind people/let everyone know that we are completely revamping the Inner Light Foundation website. We are pulling a TON of content from all of the boxes that have been untouched since her passing in 2002. They were in Charles Rubin's garage (Betty's husband) and he has been involved in helping to make the website better. I am Ann Fitzsimons and I have been working on the Inner Light Foundation website for 2 years (with long periods of doing nothing with it) and, I'm happy to say that it should be launched THIS October.... I'm so excited!! It's been SO much work driven by the desire to NOT have Betty's teachings lost. Also, we have transferred all of her cassette tapes to be downloads too.

Hi Everyone, Well, it's been a while since we posted anything about the Inner Light Foundation so here is an update.... We wanted to let you know that the work on the new Inner Light Foundation website has been started AGAIN. Covid (and life) got in the way but we are back on track now. We are excited about the TONS of content that will be coming to the new website. Hundreds of hours have already been put in and that is just in getting the content ready for the website - that's not even building the website. Our goal is to get it launched before October 2022.

We are working on a new website for the Inner Light Foundation! What Betty taught while she was on the earth plane is too valuable to "let go." We are hoping to "blow you away" with all of the content from Betty Bethards that we are planning to post on the new Inner Light Foundation website (http://innerlight.org). There has been a ton of work put into organizing the information and bringing Betty's wisdom back to those who knew her and introducing it to those that never met her.
