The Spirit of Petaluma Beacon

Coming to the roundabout at S. Petaluma Blvd. and Crystal Ln.

A gift to Petaluma from Petaluma. This piece will serve as a welcome to our town, designed by world-renowned artist and Petaluma resident David Best, and built right here at Van Bebber Brothers Steel by none other than our 100th-year Past President Royce Van Bebber — a 5th-generation Petaluma resident.

The dream team at Rotary Club of Petaluma spends most of their time working to improve our wonderful community by raising money and donating to various nonprofit organizations, as well as providing boots-on-the-ground volunteering to construct, beautify and implement real change.

With 104 years established here, this club has a rich history and legacy that can be found all over town.

Rotary is guided by 7 areas of focus:
* Education & literacy
* Environmental conservation & preservation
* Economic development
* Peace building
* Maternal & child health
* Eradicating disease
* Clean water & sanitation

Rotary Club of Petaluma, Petaluma Sunrise Rotary & Petaluma Valley Rotary also work internationally each year, providing services to other communities that benefit from “service above self” in the areas of focus listed above.

We are very pleased and excited to bring this welcoming piece to our town and to say THANK YOU to all of our wonderful residents for making Petaluma what it is today — which, according to CNN, is the 6th best place to visit in the country!

What is the Spirit of Petaluma to you?

Let us know in the comments.
