Lunch with a growing number of friends

We had a wonderful day paddling to the ocean through the Estero Americano. Warm shirtsleeve weather, lots of brown and white pelicans, two river otters, some sheep and lots of cows - and plenty of water! The only downside was the muddy launch and landing! It would be great if someone had some spare rubber or poly matting material about 10 or 15 feet long to lay down on top of the muddy channel. It would be great if it were staked down so it wouldn't slide away when the floods come...

A great day on the Estero Americano. 6 paddlers out. 6 paddlers returned. Paddled against a steady breeze to the ocean. The breeze at our backs made a faster and easier return. Lots of white pelicans, brown pelicans that were feeding, geese, egrets, herons, two otters, a variety of hawks, deer, cows...
