‼️ Meet your new Program Coordinator‼️

We are stoked to say that now three of our four full time staff are NorCal alumni 💛💙

From student-athlete, to race crew, and now joining our small but mighty team of four full time employees, meet Ty Brenninger!

Ty started a team with his friends in 2018 after seeing his first NorCal race, state champs in Petaluma (iykyk). He graduated in 2019 and went on to ride for the UC Davis Cycling Team.

Ty will be the lead on all things Adventure and Give it a Go (formally Try it Out)! Drop a comment down below to welcome him to the team ⬇️

Join the discussion about 5th Graders in our NorCal Town Hall Zoom tonight from 5:30 - 6:30 PM. NICA and NorCal staff will discuss how these riders can participate, how we coach them differently than our other riders, and how to recruit more younger riders. Attendees earn 1 CEU.

This is our first of several town halls between now and the end of the year. See you at 5:30!

That’s right - more exciting news!!

There year we are launching the NorCal Teen Trail Corps Ambassadorship. This is for the student-athletes that like to earn their turns and build their berms.

At NorCal we believe in giving back to the places that allow us to do what we love! Help us share the stoke of trail building and maintenance with your team and community.

⚡️ Who? One female and one male high school NorCal student-athlete that has raced at least one season in NICA
⚡️ What? The ambassadors will receive a CUSTOM Marin Tam XR and a year of coaching with Tempo Endurance Coaching
⚡️ When? Applications are open October 1-15!!

3 days, lots of miles, and a rad group of gals!!! 💜

At NorCal GRiT Camp, middle and high school girls came together to build confidence, form lasting friendships, and discover what they’re capable of (on and off the bike) ✨

Through group rides across Annadel State Park, skills clinics, mechanic lessons, and plenty of laughter, every rider found opportunities to challenge themselves while supporting one another 🤝

Campers tie dyed shirts, made backpack ice cream before heading to Trail House for an ice cream topping bar and lunch Trail House Café, learned about trail building from Redwood Trails Alliance, ate pizza at The Junction B**r Garden & Bottle Shop, explored frame building and welding at Jeremy Sycip, wrote letters to their future selves, enjoyed movie night, visited goats, and ended the last evening around the campfire with s’mores 🎉

GRiT is about so much more than riding bikes. It’s about building strong minds, bodies, character, and communities by creating spaces where girls are encouraged to lead, try new things, and lift each other up. The confidence gained this week will travel far beyond these trails, and the friendships formed at camp will continue to grow long after the tents are packed away ⛺️
