All the pieces are finally coming together for this puzzle! We are talking multiple ponds, enrichment, and a safe Haven for thousands of waterfowl to come! 

Thank you for your patience, so many donated towards new feathered friends and it is happening. We just want to remind everyone that we are a small organization doing big things, our animals are happy and thriving and they take our priority.

Projects and future momentum is very important, things happen at a slower pace in a Volunteer only environment. But this summer, it’s unfolding in glorious ways and we can’t wait to share with you what the final products will look like.

Throwback Thursday!

Who remembers our big sweet girl freedom?
She lived a long full life here on the farm, she passed at the age of 12, freedom, enjoyed greeting guest’s, doing her favorite tricks and sharing her heroic story.

We miss her every single day! 🥹

Have you ever inquired about a surprise seasonal basket from our gardens?

Simply call or text us with your preferred pick-up date and we will hand pick a basket of goodness for you to “gather” in passing. 707-849-6140

Our baskets are filled with a minimum of 6 things and up to 25 depending on the season.

* 100% of basket donations go to the animals 🐽

* Don’t worry, the animals have their own garden.
(Yes that’s right, we have several mini organic gardens… one of which is just for the animals) 🙂

* Want a dozen eggs included?

We have fruits, veggies & berries year-round!

Another fowl rescue happened this week, these two cuties arrived in a plastic tote that they had been living in after their family was given them from tractor supply. Ducks Grow Fast!

They appear to be Indian Runner ducks but still have their baby voices, they are very sweet and well handled. Stay tuned for more info…

Another feathered Rescue, we picked up these three beautiful girls because the owners were having their first baby and had a feeling they wouldn’t have the time to care for them properly.

On the day we were scheduled to pick them up, guess who went into labor…So we postponed a few days and as we spoke during the visit, we find out that the baby is in the NICU with fluid in the lungs. Their intuition was correct and we are so thankful we could take these beautiful girls off their hands and give them peace of mind while they support their new Baby Girl.

Breakfast of champions, or at least cleft palate babies!

Every day we go to our animals very own garden and pick them fresh greens, berries, and veggies.

Jeff specifically gets fed fresh forage twice a day, we have noticed the extra fiber makes it easier for him to regurgitate & chew his cud.
So each morning and evening we go to our gardens and gather, sometimes it’s grape leaves or blackberry, other days It’s a mix of kale & collard greens.

You can see by his tail wags that he is excited for each meal!!!

This Sweet guy is under 2 yrs old, a stunning Russian blue with that velvety coat, he has a big goofy personality and loves a rough loving massage.

Buttons earned his spot on the farm because adopters didn’t like his grumpy face and 6 months is long enough in our catery. Well, that was March and we now know he can not stay.
In fact Buttons needs to be an INDOOR Cat! Because he has allergies, he is allergic to the farm 🥺 he is on medication but that is no way to live.

We think he not only needs indoor living but we think he will thrive with the right family, he is silly and fun. Gets along with all the other cats and dogs and kids, he deserves to enjoy life without allergies and daily antihistamines.

We took in 5 Beautiful laying hens this week, they have been loved on and it was important they remained well loved pets.

That’s what we do here, promise safety and love with the possibility of finding a forever home that meets our expectations.

They are settling nicely into a Quarantine coop together and we are accepting adoption applications. More info in the comments.
