Her greatest impact wasn’t just in the music she created — it was in the lives she changed through giving back.

Today the Guy Fieri Foundation honors the life and sacrifice of LVMPD Officer Austin Abdelnabi as he is laid to rest today in Las Vegas.

On August 4, 2026, Officer Abdelnabi was tragically killed in the line of duty while responding to a call involving a person with a gun.

Officer Abdelnabi was a 30-year-old Marine Corps veteran who dedicated his life to serving both his country and his community. After joining the LVMPD in November 2023, he was assigned to the Southeast Area Command, where his infectious laugh, larger-than-life personality, and genuine compassion left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Above all, he cherished his wife, Sage, with whom he shared eight years of marriage.

We ask our community to keep Officer Abdelnabi’s family, friends, and our entire LVMPD family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Officer Austin Abdelnabi’s courage, selfless service, and ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We will honor his legacy, his department and community he protected and served!

This last week, our team visited Hopland and Calaveras County to serve lunch to the incredible firefighters who’ve been working nonstop to contain the Northern California fires.

Their dedication, strength, and heart have kept communities safe during an incredibly challenging stretch.

The Guy Fieri Foundation was honored to have our Coffee Trailer join the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Back to School Project, alongside the Clermont Police Department, Groveland Police Department, and Groveland Fire Department, to help distribute 1,300 backpacks to students throughout the community.

This event was about so much more than school supplies. It was about bringing families together, supporting local students, and creating meaningful, positive connections between young people and the first responders who serve and protect them every day.

Families had the opportunity to explore the Sheriff’s Mobile Command Center, SWAT vehicles, fire engines, vintage police cars, and interactive robotic technology used by the Sheriff’s Office—making it an unforgettable day of learning, fun, and community engagement.

We believe that investing in our youth and building trust through positive experiences helps create stronger, safer communities for generations to come.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this incredible event possible. Together, we continue Serving Those Who Serve Us—and inspiring the next generation along the way.
