We're so happy to see the city sending out updates like these, and that all the meetings are now being streamed on YouTube.

That's a big part of the gap Petaluma Civics was working to fill!

Petaluma Civics remains on hiatus, but may be reinvented in the coming years.

📣 Attention Petaluma Residents!

Join the City Council tonight at 6:30 pm for some important discussions:

🔷 Emergency Preparedness - A detailed presentation on Petaluma's plan of action for extreme temperature events.

🔷 SMART Lease Extension - Deliberation on extending our lease with SMART for the historic Train Depot Building and the adjacent Shed, currently serving as our visitor and art centers.

🔷 Affordable Housing Initiative - A talk about a bond-funded housing project, where repayments will come from the tenants.

🔷 Shollenberger Park Update - An insight into the proposed upgrade of an underground PG&E pipeline underneath parts of the park.

🔷 Oyster Cove Development - A look into the envisioned mixed-use project named Oyster Cove.

Hello Petaluma, your friendly neighborhood volunteer is burned out and still reeling in the wake of the unexpected loss of a sibling.

Petaluma Civics will be taking the remainder of 2022 off.

Going to use that time to recover, and start 2023 with more intention.

Petaluma Civics will be back!

Hello, wonderful people! Petaluma Civics is going to take a breather over the next two weeks–our volunteers are tired!

The City of Petaluma is now accepting applications for vacancies on multiple commissions, committees, and boards!

This is a great way to get more involved and make a difference on issues you are passionate about. Know someone who you think would be great in one of these roles? Let them know!

The deadline for applications is May 31, and City Council will make appointments on June 20.

Petaluma's Commissions, Committees, and Boards (CCBs) provide important oversight to City operations and the decision-making process. [Español abajo]

Petaluma Civics is honored to have been asked to broadcast the Sonoma County Sheriff Candidate Community Forum next Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30pm.

You can catch the event on Zoom, Facebook, and YouTube. The event will be broadcast in English, Spanish, and ASL.

Petaluma is transitioning to district elections!

This is a significant change in how Petalumans will vote for city council representation–and the city wants everyone's input to shape the new districts.

Join this Saturday's virtual open house from 10am-12pm, or one of the other upcoming events, and make your voice heard! Maps are being drafted NOW so don't delay.
