The Coastside State Parks Association (CSPA) was created in December 1990 to further the education and interpretation initiatives of the California State Parks along the San Mateo Coast. CSPA was founded by volunteers in San Mateo County as a 501(c)3 non-profit Cooperating Association to provide support directly to these coastal State Parks. Help your local state parks:

Have you ever been to Burleigh Murray State Park? https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=535

This hidden gem is rich in history and is a perfect place for a peaceful walk. The Board of Directors got a hands on tour with State Park staff last week and we enjoyed learning about all their past and possible future efforts to keep this park as beautiful as can be!

Happy Birthday (May 10)to Augustin-Jean Fresnel, inventor of the Fresnel lens in 1822. The Pigeon Point Light Station first order Fresnel lens will once again be back in the lantern room, high atop the lighthouse tower, when renovation is completed! See it in the Fog Signal Building until then.
