One last post of gratitude before the new year!
💥 The Volunteers! 💥
These incredible people are near and dear to our family. This event is truly family-friendly because it’s created and run by family and friends as a true labor of love. ❤️
We’re blessed with an amazing group of volunteers—family, more family, and the close family friends who’ve been part of our lives for decades (which makes them family too!). Many of them have been with us since day one. 🥹 How lucky are we to have such strong, long-standing support?
You may have seen their friendly faces over the years:
• The powerhouse crew at packet pickup who check you in and out quickly and efficiently.
• “Thew Girls,” my mom’s cousins, who have helped with parking for many years (and before them, generational family friends parked vehicles for many years).
• The “twin” blondes at the food tables—sisters and my besties since high school.
• My sister-in-law and her mom crushing it at the apparel table.
• Our auction-table star who has been nailing it the past few years.
• My uncle (Dad’s brother), aunt, and cousins greeting you at the finish line.
• One of my brothers on the mic as MC.
• And of course, the beer tent—always full of friends, family, and plenty of shenanigans.
Without these people, I could never do this. I’m forever grateful for their time, love, and dedication every single year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️❤️
