VOICE of Peru Parents Page is dedicated to giving a voice to Parents of Students in the School System. This is why we were formed. Change is desperately needed.

VOICE of Peru Parents is committed to giving a voice and power back to the Parents and Grandparents of Students in the local public school system. We are a non-profit organization, formed to combat discrimination, bullying, and duty neglect of the school administration. When the administration of the public school system refuses to make changes to keep students safe, or refuses to provide services

to Students that they need to be successful, or discriminates against a Student or Family, this is willful duty neglect. It is also illegal, but nobody seems to be doing anything to hold them accountable. We are just one of MANY Families that have experienced this willful duty neglect by our local public school system. Many Families have come forward with stories just like ours. How many times have you sat across the desk from a school principal or superintendent and were told they will do NOTHING about your Child's situation, and there's nothing else you can do about it? And we won't stop until change happens.

😡 EDUCATION IS LOSING EXPERIENCED TEACHERS FASTER THAN IT CAN REPLACE THEM.

People keep talking about the teacher shortage like teachers simply disappeared.

They did not disappear.

A lot of them left.

Experienced teachers.

Strong teachers.

Teachers who knew how to manage a classroom.

Teachers who knew the curriculum.

Teachers who mentored new staff.

Teachers who knew families, students, routines, and how to keep a school moving when things got messy.

And too many of them finally got tired.

Tired of being overloaded.

Tired of being micromanaged.

Tired of being blamed.

Tired of being expected to fix everything with less time, less support, and more responsibilities.

Then those teachers leave and schools scramble to replace years of experience overnight.

You cannot do that.

A brand new hire cannot instantly replace 15 years of classroom knowledge.

A vacancy filled does not mean the loss disappeared.

Education keeps burning through experienced teachers and acting like hiring another person fixes the problem.

It does not.

If schools want experienced teachers, they have to create jobs experienced teachers can actually stay in.

Children know when they are falling behind.

They see what their classmates can do. They notice which group they are placed in. They know who gets called on and who doesn’t. They feel the frustration of working harder and getting nowhere.

And far too often, instead of questioning whether the instruction or intervention is working, adults start questioning the child.

Did they try hard enough?
Were they paying attention?
Did they practice at home?
Are they motivated?

Over time, those questions become something much more damaging: a child who begins to believe there is something wrong with them.

We have to stop turning instructional failure into childhood shame.

When a child isn’t learning, the adults need to ask what needs to change.

Freedom isn't free...
For the future of our Children and Grandchildren, we must fight this with every ounce of strength and resources.

This is our country, and if we don't fight against tyranny, our children will grow up in a society where freedom has been erased.

2026 Peru Schools Board Election Candidates ...

The community can figure out which candidates are really republicans.
The only one I can confidently 100% vouch for is Britany Justice. She is an awesome person and strong republican, with great morals.
She cares deeply for the Students and the Community.
I have seen and heard her be a voice for the Families in Peru at many board meetings.

I don't know Brian Arwood, but I want to commend him for having the guts to run as an independent. It says a lot about a person that would rather run as an independent than list a party affiliation that they do not believe in.

I am not bashing anyone on this list.
They are all people that care about our community.
But some have been very silent about the needs and safety of our Students in Peru Schools, for several years now.

Go to the polls in November, and use Godly wisdom and discernment, Peru.
