🇺🇸💚 **LASALLE COUNTY, LET’S HONOR OUR VETERANS!** 💚🇺🇸

The LaSalle County Veterans Assistance Commission is inviting our schools, businesses, and community members to join us in showing appreciation for the Veterans who have served our country!

With Veterans Day approaching on November 11th, we’re excited to highlight two meaningful ways our community can show its support. 🇺🇸

🫙❤️ VETERANS DAY KINDNESS JAR — CALLING ALL LOCAL SCHOOLS!

We’re inviting local schools to participate in our Veterans Day Kindness Jar initiative! Schools can set up a jar with cards or notes for students to write messages of appreciation, gratitude, and encouragement to our Veterans. These heartfelt messages will be collected and shared with Veterans as part of our Veterans Day celebration.

💚🏡 OPERATION GREEN LIGHT FOR VETERANS

We also encourage residents, businesses, and organizations throughout LaSalle County to participate in Operation Green Light by displaying a green light at their homes and/or businesses in honor of our Veterans. This simple gesture shines a light on the sacrifices made by our Veterans and shows that our community stands behind them.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?
🇺🇸 Schools: Join our Kindness Jar initiative and give students an opportunity to share their gratitude.
💚 Residents & Businesses: Change a light to green in honor of our Veterans.
❤️ Everyone: Share this post to help spread the word throughout LaSalle County!

Let's come together to show our Veterans that their service, sacrifices, and contributions to our community are never forgotten.

One message. One green light. One community united in gratitude. 🇺🇸💚

🚨 Veterans: Important Notice Regarding Trajector Medical

Trajector Medical, LLC was a company that charged veterans fees for assistance with their VA disability claims. In the veterans’ services community, companies that charge veterans for claims assistance are often referred to as “claim sharks.”

Trajector Medical has filed for bankruptcy, and some veterans who paid the company for its services may be eligible to seek reimbursement of those fees, BUT you only have until October 31st to do so!

⏰ Timely action is important.

This is an important opportunity for veterans who may have been affected. If you or someone you know previously used Trajector Medical, check your bankruptcy notice and make sure you understand what action may be required to file a claim for reimbursement.

As Veterans Service Officers, we believe veterans should have access to free, accredited assistance when navigating their VA benefits. If you are unsure about your VA claim or need help understanding your benefits, reach out to your local Veterans Service Officer.

Please share this post with veterans who may have used Trajector Medical so they are aware of this opportunity.

🇺🇸 Calling All Local Schools! 🇺🇸

Veterans Day is November 11th, and we’re getting a head start on a special way for students to show their appreciation to the Veterans in our community!

We’re inviting schools to participate in our Veterans Day Kindness Jar 🫙❤️

Schools can set up their own kindness jar and provide cards or notes for students to write messages of appreciation, thanks, and encouragement to Veterans. The finished messages will be collected and shared with Veterans as part of our Veterans Day celebration.

We’re reaching out early to give schools plenty of time to plan and participate!

📣 Know a school, teacher, or administrator who might be interested? Please share this post with them!

Let’s fill our community with a little extra kindness this Veterans Day. 🇺🇸

Today, we remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families who carried unimaginable loss, and all those whose lives were forever impacted by that day.

We also remember the men and women who answered the call to serve our country in the years that followed—many carrying sacrifices that continue today.

May we never forget the lives lost, the courage shown, and the unity our nation found in the face of tragedy.

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.
