This Memorial Day, the ILVY Dolphins Swim Team proudly honors the heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Their sacrifice allows us the freedom to do what we love each day — including gathering as a team, competing, and building lifelong friendships.

We remember and thank those who gave everything for our freedom.

It's not too late to join in on the summer swim team fun! Sign up for June/July now. We will begin morning practices on June 1.

Weather permitting, we will be outside at Riordan Pool.

Swimmers 13 and older – 7:00-9:00 AM Monday-Thursday. Friday morning is at ILVY
Swimmers 11-12 and 10&U – 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

If it's too cold to swim outdoors at 7 AM, we will practice at the Ottawa Y.

Swimmers 13 and older - 7:30 - 9:00 AM
Swimmers 11-12 and 10&U – 9:00-10:00 AM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

For parents who cannot get their swimmers to the morning session, we are offering an evening option at BOTH the Illinois Valley Y and Riordan Pool.

Swimmers 11-12 and 10&U – 5:30-6:30 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

I spy a swimmer doing awesome things in the community! Thank you Fiona and Troop 123 for helping beautify Peru!

Let’s give a shout out (thank you)to these young future leaders of our community. Boy Scouts 123 will be spending their Sunday morning, picking up trash around the city of Peru starting on 7th Street going over to Pike Street and then Putnam Street.  It’s projects like this and leaders like this that make the city of Peru so great. 💙💙💙

Today, we’re honoring Senior Joe Ovanic.

He was named the Male Ironcat of the Year for McKendree University, where he has attended for the last 4 years.

Then, at their swim team awards banquet, he was named the Men’s Iron Bearcat of the Year.

Joe, your Y team is so proud of you and your accomplishments. Congrats on your 2nd year of going to NCAA’s. We know you will continue to do amazing things!
