A New Jersey Lodge in action.

Today we were proud to present the Little Egg Harbor Township Police Department with four automated external defibrillators through our Heart Heroes Matching Funds Program, an AtlantiCare Foundation-funded program that places AEDs in the community on behalf of the Heart and Vascular Institute at our Mainland Campus. We thank the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Absecon-Galloway Chapter, Lodge 213,for supporting this donation as a matching partner.

Neither rain nor sleet could stop the Odd Fellows from their annual trek to The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in May. This year, representatives from New Jersey were Grand Master Raul Rodriguez, Grand Matriarch Beth Obiedzinski-Garvin, and Rebekah President Nora Lastres. The NJ bus started loading at 6:30 am with Snackman Steve and Super driver Rick on hand to keep it all together. The rain held off until early afternoon by which time the IOOF program was over. The Grand Lodge, Grand Encampment, Union Lodge, and French Lodge treated the group to a dinner at Cracker Barrel and the day came to an end at about 8:30 pm. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this wonderful day!
