A little mess can lead to BIG discoveries! When young children explore materials with their hands, they learn about textures, shapes, colors, and how the world works. 🖐️

Try offering supervised opportunities to:
🎨 Paint with washable paints
💧 Splash and pour water
🧱 Build with blocks
🥄 Scoop and transfer dry cereal between containers
🍂 Explore leaves, pinecones, and other natural materials

Stay nearby, choose age-appropriate materials, and watch your little learner explore!

Remember to avoid small objects that could pose a choking hazard, especially for children under three.

Sometimes the best classroom is right at home! 💛

Young children are still learning how to handle BIG emotions—and they need our help along the way. 💛

When your child is upset, try helping them work through the problem instead of simply telling them to stop being upset.

You might say:
🗣️ “I can see you're frustrated.”
💭 “Let's figure out what happened.”
🤝 “What could we try next?”

Helping children name feelings, understand what happened, and think through solutions builds skills they can use again and again.

Big feelings are part of growing up. Our job isn't to prevent every hard moment—it's to help children learn how to navigate them. 🌱

“I do it myself!” may be a phrase you hear a LOT during the toddler years. 😅💛

While it can sometimes take a little longer, giving young children opportunities to try things on their own helps them develop independence and confidence.

Let your little one help:
👕 Get dressed
🥄 Feed themselves
🧸 Put away toys
🧦 Choose between two outfits
🧹 Help with simple chores

They may not do it perfectly—and that’s okay!

Every little attempt is an opportunity to learn. 🌟
