Background Story

Beginning in 2014, our family began praying and asking God specifically how we could serve Him as a family unit. Through prayer, reading of His Word, and life events orchestrated by a Sovereign God, we began to see His plan unfolding a little bit at a time. He tells us in His Word to walk by faith, and not by sight. He is faithful! He is worthy to be trusted. Oh how He has proven His faithfulness in our lives and we hope it is the same for you. In walking by faith, we left our family and friends in North Carolina, sold our home and farm animals, and Brett resigned from his long-term career to travel to where we felt the Lord was leading us...Perryville, Kentucky. Over the past 4 years we have experienced significant life changes, but Jesus never changes. He is same yesterday, today, and forever!

What we see as part of His plan for our lives right now is to serve Him by serving others who are His. The Refuge at Third Day Farm is to be a place where missionaries and ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can come for short-term respite, staying in homes built on the farm. We also hope to contruct an open air pavilion near the lake for church families in the area to utilize for fellowship gatherings.

On June 14, 2018, we broke ground on the first missionary/minister home :)! As of June 30, the block work was completed and framing work can now begin.

Do you have a heart for the Gospel? A heart for serving missionaries and ministers? Would you consider sharing some of what the Lord has given to you to help fulfill this mission?
