Happy flag day everyone. June 14, 1777 was the day that the United States adopted the flag by the Second Continental Congress. In 1916 president Woodrow Wilson declares that June 14 is flag day in celebration of the event but it’s not till August of 1949 that congress creates a national flag day. Flag day isn’t considered a national holiday but many still observe it as a historic day with parades and summer festivals.
