🚓☀️ Campers were on the case this morning!

Our Y Summer Day Camp crew had an exciting field trip to the Sheriff’s Department, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at how our local law enforcement officers serve and protect our community. From exploring equipment to learning about safety and teamwork, it was a morning full of discovery, questions, and hands-on fun.
A huge thank you to the Sheriff’s Department for taking the time to invest in our campers and show them what it means to be a community helper. 💙

We’re grateful for all the dads and father figures who help build stronger kids, stronger families, and stronger communities.

💡 Did you know that Father's Day has its roots at the YMCA? In 1910, Sonora Smart Dodd wanted to honor her father, William Smart, a Civil War veteran who raised six children as a single parent. With the support of the Spokane YMCA, the very first Father's Day celebration was held there on June 19, 1910—launching a tradition that would eventually become a national holiday.

🏊‍♀️ Kids ages 5–8 will learn:
✅ How to stay safe in and around water
✅ What to do if they unexpectedly find themselves in the water
✅ Skills like Jump, Push, Turn, Grab & Swim
✅ Confidence that can help save lives

Did you know? Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death for children, but learning basic water safety skills can make a huge difference.

The Noble County Family YMCA’s Summer 2026 Swim Lessons have begun!

📅 Lessons Meet Every Tuesday & Wednesday
🗓️ June 16 – July 1

🌊 Class Options

👶 Swim Starters | 4:30–5:00 PM
Perfect for infants and toddlers! This parent/child class introduces little ones to the water through exploration, body positions, blowing bubbles, and foundational aquatic skills.

🏊 Swim Basics | 5:00–5:30 PM
Designed to increase comfort and confidence in the water. Participants will learn basic self-rescue skills, floating, jumping in, front glides, and forward movement with assistance.

🏅 Swim Strokes | 5:30–6:00 PM
For swimmers ready to develop stroke technique! Participants will practice front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, treading water, and reinforce important water safety skills.

💲 Member Rate: $40
