🚧 Investing in a Safer Perry! 🚧

This year, you’ll notice new water-filled jersey barricades along the Cherokee Strip Celebration parade route. These barricades are being added to provide an extra layer of protection between vehicles and pedestrians at our community events.

The barricades were purchased through a grant written by the Perry Chamber of Commerce and awarded by the Malzahn Family Affiliated Fund. They will be available for use by the City of Perry, Perry Police Department and Perry Fire Department at the Cherokee Strip Celebration and future events throughout our community.

Our goal is simple: to make Perry’s events safer for the families, visitors, volunteers and businesses who make them possible.

We are incredibly grateful to the Malzahn Family Affiliated Fund for helping us make this important investment in the safety of our community! And to The City of Perry, Oklahoma, Perry Police Department, Perry, OK, and Perry Fire Department for their assistance with storing and deploying these barricades!❤️

🎓 PHS Alumni — Don't Miss This! 🎓

The Perry Chamber is excited to share the Perry High School (OK) Alumni Association's special Reunion Weekend during the 2026 Cherokee Strip Celebration!

Join fellow alumni Friday, September 18th for the Honor Roll Dinner, featuring the Legacy Award honoring Blaine School and the induction of five outstanding PHS alumni into the Honor Roll.

The PHSAA Office Open House will also be open throughout the weekend for alumni to reconnect, sign in, and view PHS archives.

We’re proud to celebrate Chief Brian Thomas and 20 years of service to our community! 👏🇺🇸

Chief Thomas has always been a tremendous supporter of the Perry Chamber of Commerce and the work we do to bring our community together. Whether it’s helping us plan for a major event, making sure everyone feels safe at a community celebration, or simply being there when we need him, his support has never gone unnoticed.

Our community events wouldn’t be the same without the men and women of the Perry Police Department working behind the scenes to keep our families, businesses, and visitors safe. Chief Thomas has been an integral part of that for so many years.

Thank you, Chief Thomas, for your leadership, your partnership, and your commitment to Perry. We are grateful for you and all you do for our community! 💙

🎉 Celebrating a remarkable 20-year work anniversary! 🎉 We are proud to honor Chief Brian Thomas, who has dedicated 17 of those years to serving as Chief of Police. As the longest-serving Chief of Police in the history of Perry, Oklahoma, Chief Thomas has been at the helm of the Perry Police Department since 2009.

With over 30 years of law enforcement experience, Chief Thomas began his journey as a Reserve Deputy with the Tillman County Sheriff’s Office, later becoming a full-time officer with the Frederick Police Department. In 1999, he joined the Noble County Sheriff's Office, where he was appointed Under-sheriff in 2002. His commitment and leadership led him to the role of Assistant Chief of Police with the Perry Police Department in 2006.

After an incredible 35-year career in law enforcement, Royce is closing this chapter after dedicating his career to serving and protecting communities. We are especially grateful for the 17 months he has spent serving the Perry community.

Thank you, Royce, for your leadership, dedication, and commitment to Perry. We wish you all the best in retirement—you’ve certainly earned it! 🎉

We gathered for a small luncheon on Friday, to celebrated and honor an extraordinary 35-year journey filled with challenges and triumphs. Today at 4 p.m., Assistant Chief Royce Stephens will conclude his remarkable career as a law enforcement officer. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our community over the last 17 months ! 🌟

Our Chamber community is invited to stop by Custom Dental of Perry tomorrow, August 27, from 1–4 PM to wish Dr. Dewhurst a very happy retirement!

After years of caring for patients in our community, Dr. Dewhurst will officially retire on August 31. We’d love to see our Chamber members and friends stop by, share a smile, and help us celebrate this well-deserved milestone. ❤️

What a turnout this morning for the ribbon-cutting at D Street Bakes & Coffee! We had a full house, and our new business owners were surrounded by so much encouragement and support.
