🚨Lifeguard Summer Training at McCreary Community Building🚨

On May 27th and 28th Aquatics Coordinator Ben Fleming and Dallas Country EMS Paramedic (retired) Mike Thomason led the Lifeguard's on multiple full scale emergency drills

This hands-on session covers critical life-saving skills every lifeguard needs, including:

🩹 Head trauma management

🦴 Fractured femur care

🩸 Wound packing techniques and airway management

❤️ CPR, splinting

🌊 Water extrications and rescues

May 31st is the last day to sign up for our Disc Golf league! Its shaping up to be a fun and competitive season. Sign up now to join the fun!

How it works:
• Play anytime Monday through Sunday
• Pick up your scorecard at the front desk
• Turn in ONE scorecard per week
• Must be turned in at the front desk by 5:30pm Sundays
• Final score = accumulation of all 4 weeks — lowest score wins!
No tee times, no stress — just show up when it fits your schedule and throw your best round each week.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just getting into disc golf, this is the perfect way to stay consistent, improve your game, and have fun with the community.

Starting Monday June 1st the McCreary Community Building pool will be open from 6:00am-8:30pm Monday through Friday. 7:00am-5:30pm Saturday and 1:00pm-5:30pm Sunday.
Perry Summer Swim Team will be practicing Monday through Friday 7:00am-10:00am Starting Friday May 29th.

Perry Summer Swim Team starts tonight! Parent meeting at 5:00pm and practice begins at 5:30pm. Please be aware the swimmers will be using the deep end and shallow end. Recreation staff will plan activities, including trips to the park, gym time, crafts, and more.
Breakfast, lunch, and a snack will be provided. However, parents can also pack children's own pre-made meals.

Grades: K-5
Groups: K-2nd, 3rd-5th

Registration: $90
Spots are limited to 20 children per group.

With Memorial Day weekend here, we want to give a shout-out to how great our cemetery looks. Thanks to our hard-working Parks and Rec crew, the cemetery is looking its best for this memorable weekend. ❤️🇺🇸
