This yearā€™s Old Settlersā€™ Day Parade & Festival is celebrating the history, traditions, and hometown spirit that have helped shape Perkins for generations.

On Saturday, September 26, Downtown Perkins will once again come together for one of our communityā€™s favorite traditions ā€” and this year, weā€™re celebrating under the theme:

HOME OF THE ORIGINAL COWBOY

Old Settlersā€™ Day is about remembering where we came from while celebrating the community we are today.

Over the next few weeks, weā€™ll be sharing more about the history behind this yearā€™s theme, the parade, activities, entertainment, vendors, and everything being planned for the big day.

Saddle Up, Perkins! Old Settlersā€™ Day is coming!

Join us in Downtown Perkins on Saturday, September 26 for the 2026 Old Settlersā€™ Day Parade & Festival, celebrating this yearā€™s theme:

HOME OF THE ORIGINAL COWBOY

Weā€™re getting ready for a full morning of Perkins tradition, community, and family fun.

Hereā€™s the basic plan for the day:

ā­ 8:30 a.m. ā€” Old Settlersā€™ Day festivities begin downtown
ā­ 10:00 a.m. ā€” The Historical Parade rolls through Perkins
ā­ After the parade ā€” Stick around for vendors, food, entertainment, games, activities, and more throughout downtown

And this is only the beginning.

Over the next few weeks, weā€™ll be sharing more about the parade, entertainment, vendors, activities, local history, and everything being planned for this yearā€™s celebration.

So round up your family and friends, mark September 26 on your calendar, and get ready to celebrate Perkins with us.
