Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center

Ivy Hill is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering equine-assisted services. Ivy Hill offers much more than a traditional riding program.

Ivy Hill's programs serve children and adults with a wide range of disabilities. Our focus is on creating a healthy approach to growth and rehabilitation through equine-assisted activities. Ivy Hill has a well-rounded program where students will learn not only how to ride but also to groom, tack, and care for their horses. We have a great sense of pride in our rider’s success and accomplishments.

Often times, our staff finds themselves benefiting from the student’s sessions as much as their students. Staff and participants often form a bond while achieving and exceeding their goals and overcoming challenges. Our staff strives to gain the highest level of knowledge in the therapeutic field, through our staff mentorship program as well as state & national certification in therapeutic horsemanship. Ivy Hill uses quiet and trained horses to meet our participants needs. We use special equipment and provide ASTM-SEI approved helmets to keep our participants safe in all of our activities.

As the lights go out in the arena tonight, we take a quiet moment to reflect on all the good that Ivy Hill Equestrian Center has been honored to do.

For 27 years, this special place has been filled with courage, healing, laughter, partnership, and hope. Riders found their strength. Families found community. Volunteers found purpose. And our horses gave their hearts to every lesson.

We are deeply grateful to have served this community for nearly three decades. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and growing with us.

Though the arena lights dim, the impact will continue to shine in every life touched.

This past Sunday was a truly proud day for our riders, families, volunteers, and staff. Watching everyone shine in the ring was a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special.

October is almost over, and our Hay for Winter drive is wrapping up and Winter is coming! There’s still time to help keep our herd warm, cozy and well-fed!

As the temperatures drop, our horses are gearing up for warm blankets, cozy stalls, and plenty of hay. Every donation adds hay to our barn and puts your name among the HAY-ros who keep our herd fed all winter long.
