Our Orange Schools Alumni extended family has experienced a great amount of loss this week. We want to share our deepest sympathies and condolences to our MHS Principal Steve Hardaway, his wife, and their entire family and huge circle of friends on the loss of their beloved son, Najee Stephen Hardaway, earlier this week. Only 26 years old, Najee was an adored teacher in the Shaker Schools and a mentor and inspiration to countless young people. May his memory be an eternal blessing. A Celebration of Life in honor of Christopher Allen Polisena (OHS ’96) will be held this Saturday, May 30th at 12pm at Parkside Church, 7100 Pettibone Road in Chagrin Falls. Chris passed away earlier this year, at age 48. An athlete at Orange High School who enjoyed playing football and baseball and hanging out with his close friends, Chris went on to attend Coastal Carolina University. He loved spending time at the beach, walking his dog, and listening to music. He leaves behind his precious daughter, Isabella, and is also survived by his father Carl Polisena, his mother (and Orange Schools staff member) Pamela Polisena, sister Carlee Polisena Seelbach, and brother Craig Polisena, along with many adoring nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Following the Church Service, there will be a gathering in which food and fellowship will be offered as friends and family remember Chris with love and happiness. TIME UPDATE FOR TONIGHT'S ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING: Please note that the start time for tonight's Alumni Association Board meeting has been moved UP one hour. The meeting will start at 6 PM at the Central Office Building on campus. We hope you will join us to learn more about our wonderful upcoming events, including Graduation, Homecoming, and our 2026 HALL OF FAME...and still get home in time to watch anything you might want to watch on tv! ; )
