The Orange Community Education & Recreation Department's

Programming
To provide relevant and needed learning, educational enrichment and leisure opport

To identify and make maximum use of existing community and school facilities, resources and people. Stagecrafters is a dramatic arts program which seeks to help each student realize a positive self image while being exposed to the creative aspects of drama and the disciplines of the theatre. The Stagecrafters approach enhances self-esteem, fosters team spirit and provides an outstanding opportunity for people of all ages to share int eh magic of the performing arts. Our Programs -
Broadway Buddies - Our adaptive musical theatre program for those students with special needs ranging in age from 5-29. Broadway Buddies is a unique, adaptive musical theatre program promoting creative power for aspiring actors with special needs. Each performer is paired up with a buddy who assists in developing creative, artistic expression and personal pride in a final presentation for family and friends. The program addresses diverse learning and communication styles with guidance from theatre professionals, highly trained, licensed staff, and experienced volunteers! After school and Saturday Classes—Preschool-8th grade—Stagecrafters has music, acting, and dance classes to inspire creativity and confidence in your student
Teen Academy—Grades 8-12—The students rehearse and perform a full-scale musical each fall at the Pepper Pike Learning Center
Voices of Broadway—Grades 8-12—This performance group rehearses on Sundays in the spring and performs in May at the Orange High School Auditorium
Community Production—Grades K-7– Students of all ages collaborate to produce a full-scale, musical production in January and May each year at the Orange High School Auditorium
Stagecrafters Camp—Grades K-8—The students are divided by age into studios and present a workshop performance of a musical at the end of the 3 week camp
Adult Glee—This performance group for adults is 10 weeks of singing, dancing, fun, and friendships
Voice, acting, and piano coachings—Let us help your student prepare for auditions, gain confidence, or just to have fun!
