⚜️ Pack 3018 officially kicked off another great year of Scouting last week!

We were lucky to have members of the Scouts BSA troop join us and help teach our Cub Scouts some of the essential skills every Scout should know. Our Cubs rotated through hands-on stations where they learned basic first aid, safe hiking practices, how to set up and take down a tent, how to pack the Six Essentials, and the basics of safely starting a fire. 🔥🥾⛺

It was such a great way to start the year — learning by doing, building confidence, and giving our younger Scouts a chance to learn from the older Scouts who have already walked the trail before them.

A huge thank-you to the Scouts BSA members who shared their time, knowledge, and leadership with our Pack. We’re excited for all the adventures ahead this year! 💙💛

🐺⚜️ Pack 3018’s Wolves were out adventuring at Fort Creve Coeur!

Our Scouts explored the replica fort, learned about the history of the area, and discovered why this region was so important in the settlement of the frontier. It was a fun way to bring local history to life and give the Wolves a chance to picture what exploration and frontier life looked like long ago.

Of course, no Scout outing is complete without a little time outside, so we finished up by hitting the trails for a hike! 🥾🌳

We love opportunities like this that combine learning, local history, and outdoor adventure — exactly what Cub Scouting is all about! 💙💛

Great job, Wolves! 🐺

✈️ Pack 3018 took flight this summer! 🇺🇸

This year, our Scouts had the incredible opportunity to tour the 182nd Airlift Wing and get an up-close look at life on an Air National Guard base.

From seeing the aircraft and equipment to learning about the many people and careers that keep the mission moving, our Scouts got a behind-the-scenes experience they won’t soon forget.

A huge thank you to the men and women of the 182nd Airlift Wing for welcoming our Scouts, answering questions, and giving them such a memorable day. 😂

Adventure, service, teamwork, and some seriously cool airplanes — that’s Scouting. ✈️⚜️🇺🇸

🏀 Learning Through the Game! 🐯

Our 1st grade Tigers got a special behind-the-scenes lesson in sportsmanship at the Peoria Notre Dame Girls Varsity Basketball game this week!

During halftime, they headed down onto the court to chat with the officials about the examples of teamwork and good sportsmanship they had noticed. What a memorable way to connect lessons in the classroom with real-life experiences! 🌟

A huge thank you to Peoria Notre Dame Athletics for welcoming us and supporting these extended learning opportunities. We’re grateful for your generosity and community spirit! 💛

🐯 Tiger Tag Adventures! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The 1st grade Tigers had an absolute blast this week exploring teamwork, sportsmanship, and, of course, having fun! 💛

They played Heads Up 7 Up, raced through exciting relay challenges, and even chatted with a referee about the importance of following the rules and being a good sport.

We love seeing our Tigers learn, play, and grow together! 🌟

🎄 December Pack Meeting Highlights 🎄

At our December pack meeting, our Cub Scouts came together to share what they’ve been learning and doing over the past month. Ever wonder what kinds of things Cub Scouts get to experience? Here’s a snapshot of the fun, learning, and service happening in our pack:

🦁 Lions learned about flags and worked together to create a flag of their own.
🐯 Tigers crafted their Pinewood Derby cars and practiced competitive racing with a raingutter regatta.
🐺 Wolves explored community planning by building a model town using magnet tiles.
🐻 Bears participated in a community service project, cleaning and preparing a new meeting space for our pack.
🪶 Webelos / Arrow of Light Scouts built birdhouses that will be placed around the community.

As a full pack, we also shared in a special service project—crafting blankets for children hospitalized at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. We enjoyed hot cocoa, fellowship, and the joy of serving others together.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the month—learning new skills, serving our community, and growing together in the spirit of Scouting. 💙⚜️

💛💙 Exciting News for Our Scouts! 💙💛

We’re thrilled to share that we now have a new space for our Cub Scout and Boy Scout meetings! Even more exciting—several of our Cub Scouts recently rolled up their sleeves and worked together to clean and prepare the space so it would be ready for use.

Through this service project, these Scouts truly lived the Scout Oath. They helped other people at all times, worked as a team, and took pride in making their community better. Their positive attitudes, hard work, and willingness to serve are wonderful examples of what Scouting is all about.

We’re so proud of our Scouts for stepping up and making this space welcoming for everyone. We can’t wait to make great memories here together! 💙⚜️
