🏀 Learning Through the Game! 🐯

Our 1st grade Tigers got a special behind-the-scenes lesson in sportsmanship at the Peoria Notre Dame Girls Varsity Basketball game this week!

During halftime, they headed down onto the court to chat with the officials about the examples of teamwork and good sportsmanship they had noticed. What a memorable way to connect lessons in the classroom with real-life experiences! 🌟

A huge thank you to Peoria Notre Dame Athletics for welcoming us and supporting these extended learning opportunities. We’re grateful for your generosity and community spirit! 💛

🐯 Tiger Tag Adventures! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The 1st grade Tigers had an absolute blast this week exploring teamwork, sportsmanship, and, of course, having fun! 💛

They played Heads Up 7 Up, raced through exciting relay challenges, and even chatted with a referee about the importance of following the rules and being a good sport.

🎄 December Pack Meeting Highlights 🎄

At our December pack meeting, our Cub Scouts came together to share what they’ve been learning and doing over the past month. Ever wonder what kinds of things Cub Scouts get to experience? Here’s a snapshot of the fun, learning, and service happening in our pack:

🦁 Lions learned about flags and worked together to create a flag of their own.
🐯 Tigers crafted their Pinewood Derby cars and practiced competitive racing with a raingutter regatta.
🐺 Wolves explored community planning by building a model town using magnet tiles.
🐻 Bears participated in a community service project, cleaning and preparing a new meeting space for our pack.
🪶 Webelos / Arrow of Light Scouts built birdhouses that will be placed around the community.

As a full pack, we also shared in a special service project—crafting blankets for children hospitalized at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. We enjoyed hot cocoa, fellowship, and the joy of serving others together.

What a wonderful way to wrap up the month—learning new skills, serving our community, and growing together in the spirit of Scouting. 💙⚜️

💛💙 Exciting News for Our Scouts! 💙💛

We’re thrilled to share that we now have a new space for our Cub Scout and Boy Scout meetings! Even more exciting—several of our Cub Scouts recently rolled up their sleeves and worked together to clean and prepare the space so it would be ready for use.

Through this service project, these Scouts truly lived the Scout Oath. They helped other people at all times, worked as a team, and took pride in making their community better. Their positive attitudes, hard work, and willingness to serve are wonderful examples of what Scouting is all about.

We’re so proud of our Scouts for stepping up and making this space welcoming for everyone. We can’t wait to make great memories here together! 💙⚜️

🧡🐯 Tiger Den – Floats & Boats Fun! 🚤 ⛵️

Our first-grade Tigers had an awesome week working on their Floats and Boats adventure! We learned all about water safety, how buoyancy keeps things afloat, and how propulsion helps boats move through the water.

Each Scout built their very own sailboat and then put their designs to the test—racing them up and down the raingutter regatta tracks! The excitement was nonstop, and the boys showed great sportsmanship and creativity.

We’re so proud of our Tigers and all the learning—and laughing—they did this week! 🐾🧡

🚒 Pack 3018 Visits Central Station! 🔥

Last week our Cub Scouts had an amazing opportunity to visit the firefighters at Peoria’s Central Station. The crew showed us around their station, talked about what it means to be a community helper, and shared what life is really like as a firefighter.

Our Scouts explored the different fire trucks, learned about the tools used to rescue people in need, and even got to see the firefighters suit up in full gear—so they know exactly what heroes look and sound like during a real emergency. And of course, the kids were thrilled to watch them slide down the fire poles!

A huge thank you to the Peoria Fire Department for welcoming us, teaching us, and for everything you do to keep our communities safe. ❤️💛

Pack 3018 began the evening with a flag ceremony led by our Scouts, followed by some exciting recognitions!

Arrow of Light shared with the pack about their Boy Scout meeting, where they got to make their own pizzas in a pizza oven! 🍕🔥

Our Tiger Scouts were celebrated for completing their Curiosity, Intrigue, and Magical Mysteries, Tigers Roar, and Fish On adventures! 🐯👏

🚓 Pack 3018 Visits the Peoria Police Department! 🚓

Tonight our Scouts had an amazing visit with Officer Collins and the Peoria Police Department! 🐶👮

The Scouts toured the Education Room — and got a very special surprise visit from Chief Echevarria himself! Chief gave the Scouts a behind-the-scenes look at the administrative offices, including his own office. What a treat!

Our Scouts also explored the roll call room, break area, lab and storage areas, and even saw an empty holding cell. It was an unforgettable night of learning and adventure! We’re so grateful to the Peoria Police Department for welcoming our Pack! 💙💛

✨🐯 Tiger Scouts had a magical evening! 🪄

Tonight, our Tigers visited Avalon the Magician at Avalon’s Magic Emporium! They discovered the secrets of magic, learned to perform a trick of their very own, and proudly earned their Curiosity and Intrigue badge! 🎩✨

What a wonderful experience filled with wonder, laughter, and a little bit of mystery. Great job, Tigers! 👏💫
