The Fine Arts Society of Peoria is delighted to begin our 65th season by bringing Eduardo Montes-Bradley and his film, The Piccirilli Factor, to the Giant Screen Theater. The Piccirilli Factor explores the cultural and historical contexts of Italian-American master stone carvers whose craftsmanship helped bring to life works that include the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln Memorial and many others by prominent architects and sculptors during the City Beautiful movement. The award-winning Eduardo Montes-Bradley has more than fifty films to his credit. He has been featured at major institutions and recognized at festivals such as the Mystic Film Festival, where he received Best Documentary honors.

Sponsored Anonymously on behalf of the Peoria Historical Society to honor sculptor Joseph Petarde.

NOW OPEN–"Utamaro: Elements of Beauty,"

Idealized but also nuanced, Kitagawa Utamaro’s portrayals of women were groundbreaking.

While his subject—beautiful women—had been a mainstay in ukiyo-e (pictures of the floating world) from its beginning, Utamaro invested his subjects with a fresh vibrancy, experimenting with dramatic close-ups that hint at the women’s complex inner lives.

See more than 40 of Utamaro’s most celebrated designs now on view in Gallery 107.

Two Wyeths. Two Maines. Two extraordinary American Artists. Tonight only.

Meet Victoria Browning Wyeth, granddaughter of legendary American artist Andrew Wyeth and niece of acclaimed artist Jamie Wyeth. Wyeth will be visiting the Peoria Riverfront Museum to share her family's art and legacy in:

"Museum Conversations | Two Wyeths, Two Maines: Andrew and Jaime Wyeth"
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 6 p.m.
Get tickets on our website: RiverfrontMuseum.org

Andrew and Jamie Wyeth spent much of their careers painting Maine, yet the worlds they depicted could hardly be more different. Victoria Browning Wyeth explores how her grandfather Andrew turned his close observation toward the people and places of Cushing and Port Clyde, while her uncle Jamie created an intimate world of animals, island characters, and everyday life on Monhegan and Southern Island.
