Today is a day of mixed emotions for Dancing Through Pain. NFP as we honor and celebrate the birthdays of two of our cherished team members while mourning the loss of our Chief Program Officer, Charitha Matthews. Today is Ms. Matthews's birthday and the birthday of our Executive Director and Founder, Tonya Brown.

As we navigate this difficult time, we want to express our deep gratitude to Ms. Charitha Matthews for her unwavering love, passion, and support in helping us find the right person to assist in starting this nonprofit and all of her hard work and her precious daughter Ms. Payton Matthews. Please keep the Matthews family in your thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of a beloved mother, aunt, niece, and friend.

Please join our second support group this Wednesday, July 10th, 2024, at Peoria Community Healing Resources Center (CHRC). We're thrilled to collaborate again with Dancing Through Pain. NFP to provide a nurturing space for girls aged 17 and under, guided by mental health professionals.
