Yesterday we were out promoting the WAGP at the annual Moss Ave sale. A thoroughly enjoyable day meeting people and sharing information about our beautiful Greenway which is supported totally with donations.

We had a bit of a tree emergency this weekend. Fortunately there were no injuries. Our group was working in this exact area on Saturday morning.

Calling all parents and grandparents!

It's time for our third annual community clean-up program. All K-12 students in Illinois who pick up at least one standard kitchen-size trash bag of litter from a public area by May 22 and submit a photo of themselves with their bag, along with their name and address, to [email protected]
will receive a Certificate of Service that can be used for a resume or college application. Adults are encouraged to join as well.

Many hands make light work. Who will you encourage to join our mission to clean up our community? Like and share if you agree that together we can make Central Illinois a better place.

What a great first workday of 2026. Bradley SERVE and Phi Gamma Delta fraternity came out in numbers to mulch, rake, prune and help prep the Greenway for spring and summer. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Western Avenue Greenway Project tree at Hist. Society Home tour house.-1105 W.Moss at University. Dec6 and 7, 2025. Tree is decorated with ‘natural’ items including dried materials from the berms. This entire tree is a silent auction offering. Proceeds go to the Greenway. Encourage your friends to bid.
