Come join us to celebrate at the Riverfront Park from 6-7 PM at 1201 Riverside Drive in East Peoria! We will have yard games, glow sticks, and a picture at 6:45! We hope to see you there!!!

Starting tonight through October 8th, Murray will be shining green in honor of 🍀

National 4-H Week is Oct. 4-10, and we’re getting ready to celebrate all
things Illinois 4-H!
Throughout the week, we’ll celebrate the young people, volunteers, families, educators,
and communities that make 4-H possible and help youth build the skills they need to be
for whatever comes next.
Monday, Oct. 5: Go Green
Wear your favorite 4-H green, snap a photo, and share your Illinois 4-H spirit on social
media!
Thursday, Oct. 8: Thankful Thursday
Help us celebrate the volunteers, educators, mentors, leaders, and others who make 4-H
possible. Share a shoutout to someone who has made a difference in your 4-H experience!

4-H members, volunteers, families, alumni, and supporters are invited to join us at Riverfront Park in East Peoria (near entrance to Outdoor World) for the lighting of Murray Baker Bridge in 4-H green.
This is one way we are celebrating the amazing 4-H program during National 4-H Week.
The event includes gifts and a group photo at 6:45 p.m.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their 4-H gear.

The same is true for Peoria 4-H Show. This is full of great information you can review with your 4-H member as we get closer to the 4-H Show.

At most county fairs, 4-H members participate in consultation judging. The 4-H member sits with a judge and tells them all about their project. The judge will ask questions about the project, how it was created, where they got the inspiration or how they learned something. For younger 4-H members, this one-on-one conversation is their start to public speaking - talking with a judge and explaining a process.
