I had this friend once. God, I've known him, well it was second grade. What you call a long time friend of 46 years. I had to put him away in my memory. Didn't want to as he is a source of many a smiles in my past, One day not very long ago he said something to me that seemed so out of place for him... He told me who he voted for and that giving up a little freedom for security was ok to him. Not word for word yet close enough. I had to stop at that. I was speachless inside. Maybe some day he might find out a truth, just one truth. I want to tell him thank you for the many years of friendship. He lost his Mom and it saddens me. May you have peace quickly and with only smiles for your future. And this is what I would say to him:
