Last Friday, South-West Kiwanis of Peoria held its 41st annual Arbor Day tree planting. With the help of the City of Peoria Department of Public Works and the Peoria Park District, a paperbark maple was planted near the Gateway building on the Peoria Riverfront.

This tree is just one of many that have been planted throughout Peoria over the years.

South-West Kiwanians have had a busy week! First up, thank you to those who joined us for our pancake breakfast last Sunday. Your support allows us to support youth-serving agencies in Peoria County! A special thank you to our members who volunteered and especially to Raber Packing Co. for being an amazing partner for this event.

The club enjoyed a nice visit at Ronald McDonald House in Peoria last week. Their mission is truly inspiring!

Thanks to the South-West Kiwanis Club of Peoria for touring the Peoria House this week. This lively bunch learned about our mission, toured the House, and asked some great questions! We hope to have them return soon.
