Peoria Community Against Violence - PCAV

Peoria Community Against Violence - PCAV Strengthen our community by providing support, safety, & services to those affected by gun violence PCAV’s mission is to decrease violence in our community.

We provide Crisis Response to families affected by gun violence. We work with families to ensure they have the comprehensive services they need, whether we provide the service or work with community partners. We are also creating multiple Street Intervention Teams which is the most effective way to deter violent crime. If you are interested in being part of our team or know someone affected by gun violence, message us on here or email Becky at [email protected].

Whether you are at home or in your vehicle, taking the time to properly store your firearm makes our community a safer place for all.

When not being lawfully carried, securing fi****ms keeps them out of the hands of unauthorized individuals - whether it’s a child or a criminal!

Who needs an ID?!

Did you know that Moonlight Coalition can assist community members in getting an official form of identification?

Several years ago, Project ID started in order to work around barriers to gaining proper identification. ID is needed for GED enrollment, for employment, for housing and medical benefits, and sometimes even for assistance with food and basic needs.

Project ID works with individuals to obtain birth certificates, state identification cards, and/or drivers licenses at NO COST to the individual. Moonlight Coalition covers the costs through the generosity of community support and private donations. This year, Moonlight is thankful to receive a grant from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois in order to continuing providing this service.

If you are in need of an ID or further information, please message through our page or contact Hedy Elliott Gardner at 309-256-7436.

Your support is greatly appreciated!
