This essential new research study by the Arizona State University Office of S*x Trafficking Intervention Research and Dominique Roe-Sepowitz validates what youth advocates have known all along- young people who are neglected, abused and/or kicked out of their homes are most vulnerable to being trafficked.
For over a decade, BLOOM365 has partnered with Rio Salado College to elevate youth safety and empowerment.
Rio Salado College helps high schoolers and adult learners complete their degrees or obtain their GEDs. Right next door, BLOOM365 offers walk-in, by-appointment or virtual licensed mental health support for young people aged 11–24 who have experienced abuse.
Together, we are quietly on the front lines, working to address and prevent the exploitation of teens and young adults.
🎯Our Impact & Prevention Programs
BLOOM365’s abuse prevention programs, created for and informed by teens are delivered by trained student peer advocates, staff, and interns in schools and community organizations across Arizona and the U.S.
We educate young people on how to recognize the warning signs of:
•Coercive control and grooming
•Human trafficking
•Dating abuse
•S*xual assault and domestic violence
Through a 7-Dose Curriculum we also provide tools and activities for students to practice healthy relationship skills such as communication, coping, conflict resolution and respecting boundaries.
Since 2006, BLOOM365 has partnered directly with schools to educate and activate students to in their generation.
To ensure our impact is measurable and evidence-based, a team of team of researchers, psychologists, graduate students, and undergraduate research assistants from the ASU School of Social Work partnered with us in 2016 to create the Logic Model and pre/post-survey framework that remains central to our school-based work today.
